Bumpers sit at the corners of the car, so they take the knocks: low walls on tight driveways, posts in supermarket car parks and the odd misjudged kerb. The result is usually scraped paint, a rough gouge in the plastic or a short crack at the edge. None of it affects how the car drives, but it does make it look tired and can knock money off its value.
Repair rather than replace
Most scuffs can be repaired on the car. We smooth out the damaged plastic, reshape it with a flexible filler designed for bumpers, then prime, paint and lacquer the area so it blends in. Where a bumper is ripped, missing pieces or hanging off its brackets, a new bumper is normally the sensible fix, and we'll point that out from your photos before you book.
