How mobile repairs work in each part of the borough

Wherever you are, we need an off-road space with room around the car, somewhere for the van and a power supply nearby. Here's how that usually works out.

Wigan town centre, Pemberton and Ince

Many of the streets around the centre are terraced with on-street parking, and we can't repair a car on a public road. A private car park, a workplace or a family member's drive usually solves that. Plenty of the scuffs and dents we see here happen in the retail park car parks around Robin Park, and those bumper scuffs are often fixed at home or at work.

Standish and Shevington

North and west of town, near junction 27 of the M6, most houses have a drive, which makes a home repair simple. We often refurbish kerbed painted alloys here, as newer estates tend to have tight turns and high kerbs.

Orrell

Orrell sits beside junction 26 of the M6, and many people here commute by car. If you can't be at home, a repair in your work car park is often the easiest option, with your employer's permission.

Hindley and Aspull

East of the centre, homes are a mix of terraces and drives. Let us know what parking you have, and if it's on-street we'll help you find another spot. Scratch repairs on doors and wings are among the jobs we do most here.

Ashton-in-Makerfield and Golborne

In the south of the borough, most homes have a driveway or a shared car park. Car park dents from shopping trips and school runs are the most common jobs we see in this area.

Leigh, Atherton and Tyldesley

These towns have a mix of new estates and older terraced streets. Leigh Sports Village and the business parks nearby have large car parks, so many customers book a repair while they're at work or the gym, as long as the site agrees.

Questions about our coverage

Is there a travel charge?

No separate charge is added on the day. The price we agree covers the repair at your address. If you're just outside our usual areas, send your postcode and we'll check.

Can you come to my place of work?

Yes, provided we can park off the road and whoever runs the site gives permission. Lots of people on business parks book us like this.

I don't have a driveway. What are my options?

We can't work on the road, but a relative's drive, a private car park or your workplace usually works. Mention the options you have in your quote request.

Do you work in the rain?

Paint has to go on in dry conditions. If rain is forecast and would affect the finish, we'll rearrange for the next suitable day. Our FAQs cover booking in more detail.

BEFORE YOU UPLOAD

Good photos mean
a firmer price.

  • Step back first

Take one picture showing the panel and the cars around it, so we can see where the mark sits.

  • Then get in close

Hold the phone about an arm's length away and keep the damage in focus. Shoot a dent side-on too.

  • Pick your light

A dull, dry day works best. Avoid harsh midday sun, wet paint and night-time flash.

More than one mark?

Send them all in the same request and tell us which photo goes with which panel.
